Usable internal sizes — will your items fit?

Maximum rigid storage box / clear space within the framework: 1,090mm wide × 405mm deep × 538mm high. This is the limiting size for an object that needs to fit between the timber framing.

Internal space measured out to the cladding: 1,190mm W × 505mm D × 538mm H. The space behind the framing is larger, but an uninterrupted rigid box cannot use all of it.

Important: These measurements are nominal. Allow some clearance for putting objects into the chest and for any handles, lids or projections.

Delivery — what happens after ordering?

Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days for this new in-stock product, as shown in Churnet Valley's current product master. Timing is an estimate, not a guaranteed date; carrier delays and busy periods may extend delivery.

Delivered fully assembled on a pallet. Delivery is to the nearest safe accessible point (kerbside); the driver does not position it in your garden. Please make sure a pallet vehicle can reach your address and arrange help to move the chest; two-person handling is recommended.

Can I keep cushions inside all winter?

The timber is pressure-treated, and the felt-covered lid offers additional weather protection, but the chest is not sealed or waterproof. Dry items before storing. For moisture-sensitive cushions or textiles, use additional protection or dry indoor storage during prolonged wet weather.

Product code GSC02. Natural timber varies in colour, grain and knots and will weather with time. Photographic props, including cushions and toys, are not included.
